00 Zen came out of Los Angeles in the early 2000s. Their debut EP from 2005 took its title from the song '1992,' which got some attention. The group had a vocalist named Elara, a bassist named Lyra, a guitarist named Dorian, and a drummer named Orion.
They put out albums like 'Echoes of the Past' in 2007 and 'The Weight of the World' in 2010. Their songs, including 'My Life' and 'Sometimes,' often dealt with personal struggles. The music mixed dream pop and electronica with some post-rock textures.
Elara had some public difficulties with substance abuse and mental health. Orion's political comments also drew criticism at times.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
