The Brazilian band 1 formed in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1990s with a lineup that included vocalist Vanessa da Mata, guitarist Felipe Venâncio, bassist Pedro Lucas, drummer Léo Jaime, and keyboardist Renato Azambuja. They released their self-titled debut album in 2007, which featured the single 'Me Chamou.' That song became popular with younger listeners in Brazil.
Vanessa da Mata left the band in 2013 and was replaced by Luiza Possi on vocals. The group has released several albums since their debut, including 'Zii e Zie' in 2010, 'Dentro da Cabeça' in 2013, and '45 Segundo' in 2016. Their music often deals with themes of love and relationships, as heard in songs like 'Não Insista.'
