10 After formed in Leeds in the late 1990s with Adam Metcalfe on vocals and guitar, Michael Hennings on lead guitar, Tom Odell on bass, and Matt Ransley on drums. Their debut album 'The Light' came out in 2001. The band's sound mixed alternative rock with some electronic touches.
Their 2003 album 'At the End' gave them their biggest moment. The title track became a hit, and songs like 'Not Tonight' and 'Stay' showed their range from moody ballads to more driving rock. After that peak, they left their label in 2004 and took a break for a few years.
They returned in 2009 with 'Slow Burn' and kept putting out records like 'Waiting for More' in 2012 and 'The Great Divide' in 2016. Later tracks such as 'This Day In The Light' and 'You Don't Know' continued in that vein of atmospheric, guitar-based rock.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
