In 2008, the band faced a copyright infringement lawsuit over a sample in the song 'Hideaway,' which delayed their next album. After a hiatus during which members pursued other projects, they reunited for live shows in 2015.

10 A.M. released their second album 'The Departure' in 2018. Their music draws from soul, jazz, funk, and R&B, with lyrics that often touch on love and loss.
