100 Abuso formed in Rio de Janeiro during the 1970s, taking their name from the phrase meaning "100 abuses" as a reference to the injustices faced by marginalized communities. The band was led by vocalist Toni Tornado, with other members including Dadi on bass, Jorge on drums, Jamil on saxophone and flute, and Jorge Faraj on trumpet. Their music blended Brazilian rhythms with funk, soul, and rock elements.
They released several albums including "Sem Abuso" in 1978, "Tranquilo Bom" in 1980, and a self-titled album in 1982. Other songs in their catalog include "24 Horas De Amor," "A Festa É Aqui," and "Abraçado Com Você."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
