100 Ressaca formed in the early 2000s in Vila Brasilândia, a working-class neighborhood of São Paulo. The band's core lineup includes André Alexandre on vocals, Guilherme Venturini on guitar, Robinho on percussion, Thiago Bigode on drums, and Felipe Gomide on bass. They released their self-titled debut album in 2004.
Their 2008 album "Não Sei Fingir" gave them one of their most recognizable songs. The track became popular for its straightforward lyrics about refusing to pretend or put on airs.
100 Ressaca's music draws from samba and MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), with some rock and blues elements in the mix. They've maintained a consistent presence in Brazilian music, releasing albums like "O Que Fizerem Da Vida" in 2011 and "Deixa a Gente Trabalhar" in 2016.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
