107 Faunos formed in Madrid in 2004, led by singer and songwriter Javier Castellanos. The band's name references Fauno, the Roman god of forests and nature. They released their self-titled debut album in 2010 after playing smaller live shows around the city.
Their second album, 'Luna y Candela,' came out in 2014 and included the song 'Días Dorados.' That track became their most recognizable work, reaching the top of Spanish charts. They followed it with albums like 'Caliza' in 2016, 'El Rastro' in 2018, and 'Eclipses' in 2021.
Castellanos has been the consistent member through various lineup changes. The group faced some attention in 2018 over plagiarism claims regarding their song 'La Canción de los Niños,' though those accusations were later dismissed.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
