116 is a Christian hip-hop collective that started in Puerto Rico in 2005, founded by brothers Juan and Edward Rodríguez. The name comes from Genesis 1:16. Their debut album 'Activate' came out in 2006, followed by other releases like 'Contra la Corriente' in 2008 and 'La Reunion' in 2010.
One of their most recognizable tracks is 'La Fiesta (remix),' which features Funly, Lecrae, Redimi2, and Alex Zurdo. The song gained attention in 2012. Another song people know is 'Mejor.'
The group's music mixes hip-hop with Latin rhythms and spiritual themes.
