12 Dirty Bullets formed in Los Angeles in 2005, with Dante DiCroce on vocals, Johnny Smith on guitar, Lex Rodriguez on bass, and Jake Carter on drums. Their debut album 'Hell Bent for Leather' included the song 'Champagne And Cocaine,' which became their most recognizable track. They followed it with albums like 'Razorblade Romance' and 'Electric Suicide.'
Their live shows were known for raw energy, and their lyrics often dealt with themes that drew criticism for glorifying substance abuse. The band's lifestyle reportedly led to personal struggles, including drug addiction and legal issues for some members.
In 2015, a reformed version of the group performed at a benefit concert. They've continued to tour and record since then, though with less of the earlier turmoil surrounding them.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
