1/2 Dúzia de 3 ou 4 formed in João Pessoa in 1985, with Caio Castelo on vocals and guitar, Marcelo Madruga on bass, Marcelo Falcão on drums, and Marcos Vinícius on keyboards. Their debut album 'Rádio Pirata' came out in 1987 and included the single 'Fique Sabendo,' which became a hit in Brazil.
That song helped establish them in Brazilian rock, mixing rock with pop and reggae elements. Other tracks like 'Gingko Biloba' and 'Pausa Pr'um Café' show the band's range across their early work.
Caio Castelo left the group in 1993, and the band continued with a different vocalist before he returned in 2007. They've released several albums since their debut, including 'Doze Flores Amarelas' in 1988 and an acoustic session for MTV in 1999.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
