1/2 Tempo formed in Buenos Aires in the late 1990s, with vocalist Diego "Dijit" Sztulwark and producer Bernardo Ferrón at the center. Their debut single "Contraste" came out in 2002, a ballad that found an audience in Argentina's alternative scene. The band's lineup has included Juan Pablo Fernández on guitars and Pablo "Rata" Sztulwark on bass.
They put out albums like Silencio in 2004 and Caminos in 2007, working across rock and electronic sounds. Songs like "Etiquetas Sociais" and "Sociedade Anônima" show their interest in social themes, though their lyrics sometimes drew criticism from more conservative listeners.
By the 2010s they had released records such as Acústico and Sinfónico, and marked their first decade with 10 Años in 2017. The group's catalog includes the track "Os velhos tempos," another of their better-known songs.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
