13 Days formed in Los Angeles in 2004 with Sarah Jones on vocals, Justin Newsom on guitar, Brandon Davis on drums, and Cameron Leigh on bass. Their debut single "Lust" got some early attention, and they released an album called All That Remains that included songs like "Lost Without You" and "The Way You Move." They put out a couple more albums after that, Second Chance and The Long Goodbye.
In 2008, Sarah Jones talked publicly about dealing with substance abuse. The band also got some criticism for lyrics that people found too explicit, but they kept writing what felt honest to them. They had another song called "No One" that showed up in their catalog.
They were a four-piece band that made music for a while in the 2000s. The details about inspiring countless artists or raising awareness for causes feel like promotional filler, so it's better to stick with what's concrete: they made albums, played shows, and some of their songs still get remembered.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
