15 Minutos para um Novo Dia formed in 2006 in Curitiba, Brazil, with childhood friends Marcelinho on vocals, Tchello on guitar, Marcelo on bass, and Duda on drums. They released their debut album "O Novo Dia" in 2007. The song "Lágrimas" from that album became a national hit, a ballad about heartbreak that connected with listeners.
After their early success, the band went through some internal conflicts and took a hiatus from 2009 to 2011.
They've released six studio albums over time, with the same four members still playing together. Their music tends toward rock with emotional lyrics, though they haven't maintained the same level of commercial attention they had with their first big single.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
