19 Heaven formed in Fortaleza in 2007, started by brothers Júnior and Felipe Lima with their childhood friend Gastão Neto. Their name came from the Beatles song 'Strawberry Fields Forever.' The band's first single, 'Desencontro,' came out in 2009 and did well on Brazilian charts. Gastão Neto, who sang lead, left in 2013, and the Lima brothers kept going as a duo.
They've put out five albums, starting with their self-titled debut in 2009 and going through to 'Aurora' in 2021. Other songs like 'Lágrimas de Prata' and 'Regras do Jogo' are among their better-known tracks. Their sound mixes pop with some rock and Brazilian rhythms, which got them both praise and some criticism early on.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
