1955 was a New Zealand pop trio that formed in the mid-2000s with Conrad Wedde on vocals and guitar, Callum Gentleman on bass, and Nick Nock on drums. They released their debut single "Catch Your Fall" early on, which got some notice for its melody. The band put out four studio albums between 2007 and 2014: Together We Stand, No Way Out, The Way We Are, and A Different Kind of Love.
Their biggest moment came in 2008 with the single "Upside Down," which became a worldwide hit. That song's success led to extensive touring. Some critics at the time called their music formulaic or aimed too squarely at a teenage audience, but they kept a loyal following through those years.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
