The 1ª CIPM Salinópolis is a police band from the coastal town of Salinópolis in Pará, Brazil. It was formed in 2008 as part of the 1ª Companhia Independente de Polícia Militar, with Lieutenant Colonel Roberto Antônio de Sousa involved in its establishment.
Their most recognizable song is "Brado do Pelotão Atlântico," which became something of a local anthem. The band performs at festivals and community events, and its members include Sergeant Alan Silva on vocals and guitar, Sergeant Marcos Lima on vocals and saxophone, Sergeant Érico Santos on keyboard and accordion, Sergeant Wallison Souza on bass, and Sergeant Daniel Costa on drums.
The group continues to operate as both a police unit and a musical ensemble.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
