1plus1 was an electro-pop duo from London formed by Ben Westbeech and DJ Fresh. They released two albums: their self-titled debut in 2010 and 'Anthems and Hymns' in 2012. Their most recognizable track is 'Cherry Bomb,' which appeared on that first album.
Westbeech had done some vocal work with other artists before the project, and DJ Fresh brought production experience. Their sound mixed electronic and pop elements, though that combination drew some skepticism from critics at the time. In 2012, they had a legal dispute with a label over royalties for 'Cherry Bomb,' which was settled out of court.
After those two albums, the duo didn't release much more material together. 'Cherry Bomb' remains the track people remember.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
