2 Bal 2 Neg was a French electro duo from the early 1990s made up of Didier Perrin and Marie-Laure Douce. Their track '24 Heures' became something of a signature for them, with its electronic beats and French vocals. They put out a few albums in those years, starting with their self-titled debut in 1992 and following up with 'Le Bal des Chiens' in 1993 and 'La Tribu des Rouges' in 1995.
Their sound wasn't exactly mainstream at the time, and some of their material drew attention for being provocative. The song 'La Boulette' was noted for its explicit references, and the video for '24 Heures' featured nudity and surreal imagery. This kind of thing gave them a certain cult status among listeners who were drawn to that edge.
Other songs in their catalog include '3x Plus Efficaces', 'Comme Un Oiseau Qui S'envole', and 'Confiance'. They were active for a relatively short period in the 1990s, but their work, particularly '24 Heures', remains a reference point in French electro from that era.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
