2-4 Grooves came together in Los Angeles in the early 2000s, with Aaron Carter on vocals and guitar, Brandon Bradbury on bass, Cameron Scott on drums, and Dominic Morgan on keyboards. Their first album arrived in 2005, featuring the track 'The Way I Do' that got some attention.
Their music pulls from funk, soul, and R&B, with songs like 'Writing On The Wall' showing their rhythmic approach. They put out a few more albums over the next decade, including Groove Theory in 2007 and Awakening in 2015.
At one point they faced some criticism for their lyrics and stage shows, but kept working. They've played with artists like Snoop Dogg and Erykah Badu along the way.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
