2 Men 4 Soul formed in New York in 1993 as a vocal quartet. The original members were Michael "Miguel" Bivens, Darnell "Dino" Bristol, Danny "D-Nice" Sims, and Shawn "Dish" Stockman. They released their self-titled debut album in 1994, followed by II Soul in 1996.
In 1997, Dino Bristol died after a long illness. The group continued as a trio, putting out Right Now in 1998 and Becoming in 2003. Their unplugged version of "Ribbon in the Sky" became one of their best-known recordings.
They had a legal dispute with Motown Records in 2001 over contract and ownership issues. A compilation called The Best of 2 Men 4 Soul came out in 2005.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
