2 Minute Warning came out of the late '80s hardcore scene with their debut album "My Fears" in 1990. The title track became something of an anthem, mixing the aggression of hardcore with lyrics that felt more personal and introspective than what was typical at the time. The band was a quartet: Stu Manx on vocals, Paul Reeves on guitar, Rob Greenway on bass, and Darren Ware on drums.
Their live shows were known for being chaotic and unpredictable, which sometimes led to clashes with authorities. Internal tensions surfaced too, and Paul Reeves left the band in 1992, replaced by guitarist Chris Andrews. They kept recording after that, putting out albums like "One Last Shot" in 1995 and "The Fight" in 2001, which incorporated elements of metal and industrial music while keeping their core intensity.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
