2 Unlimited was a Dutch-Belgian Eurodance duo formed in 1991 by producer Ray Slijngaard and singer Anita Doth. Their 1992 debut album 'Get Ready!' included tracks like 'No Limit,' 'Tribal Dance,' and 'Get Ready For This' that became dance floor staples across Europe and beyond.
While 'No Limit' became their signature track, other songs like 'Twilight Zone' and 'Jump For Joy' maintained their energetic, synth-driven sound. The group faced a plagiarism lawsuit over 'No Limit' in 1993, which they successfully defended.
Anita Doth left in 1996 and was replaced by Romy van Ooijen. The duo continued releasing music through the late 1990s and returned with an album in 2009. Their straightforward dance tracks with simple, repetitive lyrics became defining examples of early 1990s Eurodance.
