20 To Blowing came up playing underground shows, with Jake Harper on vocals and guitar, Alex Wilson on bass, and Chris Jones on drums. Their song 'Ball of Hate' got some attention early on, though it also drew complaints about the lyrics. They put out a first album called 'Ashes to Dust' and followed it with 'The Mark of Cain' and 'This Is War'.
They kept a fairly steady lineup and played a loud, aggressive style that found a small but dedicated audience. The band didn't really break through to a wider crowd, but they kept at it for a while in that scene.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
