21 Kaká

21 Kaká formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2012 with MCs Deize Tigrona, Chapola, Maikinho, and DJ Pí. Their sound came from funk carioca, the raw, percussive style that grew out of Rio's favelas. Their 2017 song 'Cash Cash (part. PCN Boladão)' became a viral hit in Brazil, pushing them toward wider recognition. The track's humor and catchy rhythm connected with audiences, though their lyrics sometimes drew criticism. In 2018, they faced legal complaints over the song 'Bum Bum Tam Tam,' which some argued crossed lines into misogyny.

They kept releasing music through 2021, with albums like 'Festa, Funk, e Churrasco' and 'Fake News.' Their work stayed rooted in funk carioca while occasionally touching on pop and reggaeton sounds. The group's straightforward, high-energy approach resonated with listeners who appreciated funk's unfiltered style.
