22-30 formed in Manchester in 2014 with James Smith on vocals and guitar, Josh Forest on guitar and vocals, Tom Harrison on bass, and Tim Frost on drums. Their name came from the time signature of an early song they were working on.
Their 2018 single "Here We Go Now" became their breakout track, leading to a Brit Award nomination for Best British Group. They followed it with their debut album "Twelve" in 2019.
After a hiatus in 2020 following misconduct allegations against a member, they returned with their second album "Tempest" in 2022, which showed them moving toward more experimental territory than their earlier indie-pop sound.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
