Archive material and source history
220 Revolts formed in São Paulo in 2004 with vocalist Rafael Marques dos Santos (Lobo), guitarist Fábio Dias (Fábio Diablo), bassist Leandro Esteves (Léo), and drummer Douglas Souza (Dudus). They played a raw, intense style of hardcore punk that drew a following in Brazil's underground scene. Their early track 'Aqui É Louco' came out in 2007.
Their lyrics often dealt with social issues and personal struggles, which sometimes got them into trouble. They kept at it, putting out albums like 'O Mais Puro Êxtase da Crueldade' in 2009 and 'Nunca Mais Volte a Chamar Isso de Hardcore' in 2012. Their sound picked up some thrash and metal elements over time, but stayed rooted in hardcore.
They released 'O Resto É Barulho' in 2015. Other songs include 'Combustível' and 'Mundo de Oz'. Their fans called themselves the 'Revoltados'.
