223° formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil around Bruno Schmidt and Davi Sabbag, later adding Lucas Arruda on bass and Bruno Medina on drums. Their early single "Querido Amigo" came out in 2017, followed by the EP Aurora in 2018.
That EP included "Amor Doutro Mundo," which became their most recognized track. The band released a full-length album called Cosmos in 2019 and another titled Além do Horizonte in 2021.
They worked with an indie rock and post-punk sound that sometimes incorporated electronic elements. Their approach drew some criticism for being unconventional, but they kept making music on their own terms.
