23things formed in São Paulo in 2003 around vocalist and guitarist Adriano Cintra, with bassist Lucas de Paiva, keyboardist Eduardo Borba, and drummer Eloy Casagrande. They put out their self-titled debut album in 2006. The song 'Memórias de KC' came out in 2008 and became a notable track for them, dealing with themes of lost love. Their music often mixed indie rock with some electronic touches and personal lyrics. They released other albums like 'O Voo do Urubu' in 2010 and 'Disco Voador' in 2017. Cintra's writing sometimes drew attention for being direct or touching on social matters. The lineup stayed fairly consistent, and they worked with other Brazilian artists including Criolo, Tulipa Ruiz, and Elza Soares.
