2miguéis formed in Lisbon around 2005 as a duo with Miguel Gameiro and Miguel Araújo. Their debut album, 'Por Este Rio Abaixo,' came out in 2007. Gameiro left the band in 2009, but he and Araújo reunited the following year.
They've released several albums since then, including 'Luz' in 2010, 'Matrioska' in 2013, and 'Em Nome do Pai' in 2016. Their music sometimes touches on difficult subjects. The song 'Se Eu Pudesse' deals with depression and suicide, which has sparked some discussion.
Miguel Araújo writes most of their material, and Miguel Gameiro handles the vocals. They put out a live album, 'Ao Vivo no Coliseu,' in 2019.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
