A Brazilian rock band that formed in 1999 and weathered lineup changes and controversy.
For a sense of their sound, 'Nossa História' and 'Vem' are the tracks that frame it. They're straightforward rock songs that have stayed in rotation.
They came out of São Paulo with a debut album called 'Sem Regras' in 2000, and songs like 'Nossa História' and 'Vem' stuck around as staples in their set. Their 2015 festival performance led to accusations of homophobia and racism, which caused some cancellations and radio suspension. The track 'Vem' reappeared as a single in 2021, showing they kept writing through different phases.
Alexandre Faria, João Barone, and Sérgio Britto started the band in 1999. Faria stepped back in 2003 due to a neurological disorder, and they continued with guest vocalists, putting out albums like 'Água' and 'Supernova'. Later, Britto and Barone were joined by Raphael Almeida and Vinícius de Souza, and they released 'Vem' in 2021.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
