2P Divulga came out of São Paulo in the early 2000s with Leandro D'Lucca on vocals. Their debut album was called "Medley Universal," which also became the name of its title track. That song pulled together various global anthems into one piece, and it helped push the band toward wider recognition.
They put out a few more albums in the 2000s, including "2P Divulga" in 2004 and "Divulga Mundo" in 2006. Their sound mixed funk, pop, and hip-hop, and they were known for energetic live shows. Later tracks like "Mega Automotivo Agudo Pras Perereca (DJ Marinovic)" and "Mega Automotivo Aterrorizante (DJ Marinovic)" kept that high-energy style going.
Around 2008, the band dealt with some public friction over plagiarism accusations related to one of their songs. They disputed the claims and eventually moved past it. The lineup shifted over time, with members like André França on guitar, Gustavo da Lua on bass, and Thiago Camilo on drums playing alongside D'Lucca.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
