2P SN formed in São Paulo in 2018 with vocalists Nicolas Sampaio and Lucas Schmidt. Their debut album, 'A Melhor Versão 2P,' gave them their first major hit with the title track. The band's sound pulls from pop, rock, and hip-hop, with lyrics that often touch on self-discovery and the experiences of young people in Brazil.
They released a second album, 'Sete Mares,' in 2021. Other songs like 'Do Jeito Que Eu Gosto,' 'Folhas,' and 'Novo Mundo' have become part of their set. In 2020, their music video for 'Me Abraça' drew criticism from some conservative groups for depicting a same-sex couple, though the band maintained their support for LGBTQ+ rights.
Their live shows are known for being energetic. The duo writes their own material, with Schmidt also playing guitar.
