3 Colours Red formed in Manchester in the early 2000s with Chris McCormack on vocals and guitar, Pete Vuckovic on guitar, Scott Davidson on bass, and Neil Mullane on drums. Their debut album 'Pure' came out in 2003, followed by 'Red' in 2005 and 'In Sickness and Health' in 2007. After their label went bankrupt, they ended up self-releasing later records like 'The Union of Souls' and 'From Now Until Then'.
Their song 'Age of Madness' became their breakout track, reaching the charts and connecting with listeners in that period. Other songs like 'Alright Ma', 'Be Myself', and 'Cancel The Exhibition' filled out their catalog. The band also dealt with a legal dispute with a former manager over ownership of their music, which dragged on for some time.
They kept recording through the 2010s, putting out albums that mixed rock with more introspective lyrics. There wasn't a dramatic breakup or reunion story, just a band that worked through the practical challenges of making music independently after that initial label trouble.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
