Archive material and source history
3 Day Wheely formed in Los Angeles in 1999. Their debut album 'The Awakening' came out in 2002, and the single 'Rotten Apples' got some attention. The band's lineup included Ethan Grey on vocals, Jake Carter on guitar, Ben Stone on bass, and Rick Morales on drums.
They put out a few more albums after that first one, including 'Scars of the Past' in 2004 and 'Redemption' in 2007. The music had a rough, loud quality that mixed rock with some punk and metal sounds.
There were some problems along the way, including internal conflicts and substance issues. In 2005, there was a fight at one of their shows that led to arrests. Their lyrics sometimes drew criticism for being explicit or dark.
They kept recording through 2013 with 'Resistance', but the early track 'Rotten Apples' remained what most people knew them for.
