3 de Espadas was a Latin pop trio active in the early 2000s. Their 2004 single "Sexto Sentido" became a breakout hit, known for its haunting melody. The band's sound mixed traditional Latin rhythms with contemporary pop production, which sometimes drew criticism from more traditional listeners.
The group consisted of vocalist José Luis Rodríguez, guitarist and songwriter Emmanuel Palomares, and drummer-producer Gustavo Santander. They released several albums including their self-titled debut in 2003, followed by "Sexto Sentido" in 2004 and "Renacer" in 2006. Other songs in their catalog include "Alienados," "Amores Perdidos," and "Chuva Que Não Passa."
Emmanuel Palomares eventually left the group, and the band faced some legal issues over royalties during their run. They continued releasing music through 2010 with albums like "No Necesito Más" and "Incontrolable."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
