3 Feet Deep formed in New York City with Caleb Lombard on vocals and guitar, Ben Schwab on bass, Zach Cooper on drums, and Sean O'Brien on keyboards. They put out a debut album called 'Whispers in the Void' and later released 'Echoes of the Past' and 'The Depths Within.'
Their song 'Declaration of Dependence' drew some attention for its lyrics, which questioned certain social norms. It's one of their better-known tracks, along with 'Good-Bye' and 'The Breakup Song (Sundays Always Suck).'
Critics sometimes called their mix of alternative, pop, and rock unfocused, but the band kept working in that vein. Their music tended toward introspective themes and atmospheric keyboard textures.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
