3 Janelas formed in Lisbon with Pedro Tatanka on vocals, Luís Garcia on guitar, João Pedro Silva on bass, and Marco Nunes on drums. Their debut album was 2010's "Emoções Gritantes," which shares its name with one of their most recognized songs. They followed it with studio albums in 2015, 2018, and 2021, plus a live recording from Lisbon's Coliseu dos Recreios in 2013.
Their songs often work with emotional themes, as titles like "O Fantástico Mundo do Umbigo" and "Ponto Final" suggest. In 2012, they faced plagiarism accusations over the song "Alguém Que Eu Já Conheci," though these were later dismissed. The band kept releasing music through the 2010s, including the track "Sociedade Dos Poetas Vivos."
By 2021's "Reflexo," they had put out five albums over a decade. Their catalog includes songs like "Sumário" alongside the earlier material. The lineup remained consistent through these recordings.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
