3 On Fall was an alternative rock trio from London that formed in the early 1990s. Their debut album in 1992 included the track "A Pop," which became one of their better-known songs. The band's sound had an atmospheric quality, with Helen Marnie's vocals often described as haunting over Mark Gardener's guitar work and Simon Wolstencroft's bass.
They released two more albums in the mid-1990s, "Mountain" in 1993 and "Love is Not Enough" in 1996. Their music drew some criticism for being inaccessible, but they maintained a loyal following. After a hiatus and lineup changes, they reunited in 2010, though their output became less frequent.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
