3 Segundos Antes da Queda formed in Curitiba, Brazil in 2006 with vocalist and guitarist Bass Oitavo, drummer Marcelão, and bassist Júnior. They released their self-titled debut album in 2008, which had a raw, aggressive sound. Their second album, 'Eu, Takezo, Dostoiévski e Você,' came out in 2010 and included the title track that became a critical and commercial success.
Later albums like 'Psicotrópicos' (2013), 'O Vento Levou' (2016), and 'Valsa dos Malditos' (2019) showed the band incorporating symphonic metal, progressive rock, and electronica into their music. Their songs often deal with themes of pain, loss, and social injustice, with tracks like 'Saudade' and 'Tres Você Igual a Zero Eu' appearing among their most popular work.
The current lineup includes Bass Oitavo, Marcelão, Júnior, and keyboardist Guilherme Dantas. In 2015, they performed at a concert sponsored by a company accused of environmental violations, then publicly denounced the company and donated their fee to an environmental organization.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
