3 Vallejo formed in 2012 as a trio of brothers from Los Angeles: Ricardo on vocals, Eduardo on bass, and Randy on drums. They started playing in their family garage, mixing traditional Mexican folk with contemporary sounds. Their debut album "Corazón de Barrio" came out in 2013, followed by "Soy de Barrio" in 2015 and "El Regreso de los Reyes" in 2017.
Their lyrics often dealt with street life, violence, and drug use, which drew both fans and critics. In 2015, a fan died at one of their concerts, and the band took a break afterward. They kept recording, though, and their sound later incorporated some hip-hop and electronic touches.
One of their most popular songs is "Bala Perdida," released in 2018. Other tracks like "No Me Fue Suficiente," "23 de Noviembre," and "Amigo" also show their style of writing about love, loss, and everyday struggles.
