30 De Outubro formed in Salvador, Bahia in 1994, with Leoni and Marconi as founding members. They started playing local bars before releasing their self-titled debut album in 2002. That record included 'Arrepio,' which became their breakout single.
Their music draws from Brazilian samba and pop, with songs like 'Ausência' and 'Vem Pra Cá' showing their melodic approach. The band has released several albums including 'Contagiante' in 2004 and 'Minha Vida É Samba' in 2010.
Beyond Leoni and Marconi on vocals, the group includes Flavinho on drums, Thomas on bass, and Leandro on percussion. They've maintained a consistent presence in Brazilian popular music since their early 2000s breakthrough.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
