31 Minutos started in 2003 as the musical part of a Chilean television show with the same name. The show's satirical humor carried over into songs like 'Mi Equilibrio Espiritual' and 'Bailan Sin Cesar,' which became popular alongside the program. Juan Carlos Bodoque, who hosted the show's news segments, served as the band's lead vocalist.
The group's lineup included characters from the television program, with Tulio Triviño as co-host and musicians like Juanin Juan Harry on guitar and Policarpo Avendaño on drums. Their albums, including '31 Minutos' in 2003 and 'Bailan sin Cesar' in 2007, featured playful tracks such as 'Por Favor, Devolva a Minha Bola, Vizinha, Sou Só Uma Criança' and 'Doggy Style.'
Some of their lyrics drew criticism for poking fun at social norms, but the music found an audience among viewers who appreciated the show's humor. The band's songs, including 'Son Pololos' and 'Mi Mamá Me Lo Teje Todo,' became familiar to fans of the television series.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
