330 Volts formed in Los Angeles in the early 1990s with Shannon Funchess on vocals, Marc Heal on guitar, Michael Ciravolo on bass, and Chris Randall on drums. They released their debut album "Unveiled" in 1993, which included the track "Assassina." That song became something of a calling card for the band, an electro-industrial piece that drew comparisons to Nine Inch Nails and Ministry.
Their music sometimes sparked debate, with some listeners interpreting the lyrics in songs like "Assassina" as exploring darker themes. The band followed up with other albums, including "Eternal Warfare" and "The Blood of Virgins." Their catalog also includes songs like "Contador de Histórias" and "Perto De Você."
That core lineup of Funchess, Heal, Ciravolo, and Randall stayed together for much of the band's run. Their sound pulled from industrial and electronic music, built around Funchess's vocals and Heal's guitar work.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
