3ciclo formed in Barcelona in 2008, with Xevi Ribas on vocals and guitar. The band had some early trouble finding a permanent bassist and drummer, but they kept going. Their first album, 'La Vida Moderna', came out in 2010, followed by 'Si Estás Triste, Llama a Casa' in 2012 and 'Dios No Está Muerto' in 2014.
Their songs like 'Emo' and 'Hijo Proletario' connected with a particular audience, often dealing with feelings of being young and out of place. Some people found their direct approach too raw or negative, but that didn't stop the music from finding its listeners.
The core lineup eventually settled with Ribas, Pol Fuentes on bass, and Marc García on drums. They made emo music that felt personal and unpolished, which was enough for them to build a following without becoming a mainstream name.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
