3D Friends formed in 2005 as a Japanese band. Their debut single "Lina Magic" came out in 2006 and became their most recognizable track. The song's melody and vocals gave them some early attention.
They released several albums between 2006 and 2011, including "Twinkle Star," "Farewell to the Past," "Genesis," and "Kaleidoscope." Their music touched on themes that sometimes drew criticism, like with "Farewell to the Past," which faced radio bans over its subject matter.
The band worked with producer Ryuichi Sakamoto at one point. They disbanded in 2013, after which members pursued solo projects or formed new groups.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
