Robert Del Naja, known as 3D, grew up in Bristol and started experimenting with turntables and samplers in the mid-1980s. He formed Massive Attack with Andrew Vowles and Grant Marshall, and their 1991 debut album 'Blue Lines' blended beats, melodies, and socially conscious lyrics.
With Massive Attack, 3D worked on albums like 'Protection' in 1994, 'Mezzanine' in 1998, and '100th Window' in 2003. He also released solo material, including the 2010 album 'Heligoland' and the 2012 song 'Summertime' featuring Scarlett Johansson.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
