3D6 formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s, with guitarist and vocalist Fábio Dutra, bassist Bruno Chiarello, and drummer André Cunha. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2000, and its lead single 'Vale do Amor' became a hit that put them on the map in Brazil.
They followed that with albums like 'Erros e Acertos' in 2003 and 'O Rio que Não Seca' in 2006. Songs like 'Medusa' and 'Numa Noite, Num Bar' show the band's straightforward rock sound, built around Dutra's guitar and vocals.
Dutra's lyrics and stage presence drew attention, sometimes criticism, and the band faced some legal issues along the way. They kept recording, putting out a compilation called '10 Anos de Vale do Amor' in 2010 and another album, 'Respira', in 2013.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
