3.D.L formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1999 with five members: Rony, Xande, Touro, Max, and Abílio. They started out playing reggae and had a hard time getting noticed by record labels early on.
Their debut album came out in 2004, and their second album, "Nosso Lugar," followed in 2006. That album included the song "Até o fim," which became popular on Brazilian charts. They released a few more albums after that, like "Somos do Mundo" in 2008 and "Luz do Sol" in 2010.
In 2007, there was some legal trouble over the use of "Até o fim" in a political campaign, though the band won the case. They've also faced some criticism for speaking out on social issues, but kept making music anyway.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
