3elina formed in Buenos Aires around 2015, started by three friends: Emilia Mernes, Elena Rose, and Rusherking. Their sound mixed Emilia's vocals with Elena's keyboard work and Rusherking's rapping. The track 'Boca Juniors' came out in 2016 and caught on quickly, becoming something of an anthem for its story about a young woman's crush on a soccer player.
They put out albums like '3elina' in 2017, 'El Regreso' in 2019, and 'Acústico' in 2021, along with singles such as 'No Se Va' and 'Pa' Mí'. Other songs like 'Letting It Flow' and 'Release Me' show up in their catalog. In 2019, there were some plagiarism accusations that got dismissed, but it was a reminder of how much scrutiny comes with attention.
Their lyrics often touched on confidence and independence, which resonated with a lot of listeners.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
