3Na Pista formed in São Paulo around 2011 with members Fernandinho Beat, Macléia, Rod Bala, and DJ Jean. Their sound mixed gospel with hip-hop and funk rhythms, which caught on with younger listeners. The 2013 single 'Crente Swag' became a kind of anthem for a certain crowd, giving a name to their style.
They put out albums like 'Somos 3' in 2014 and '3Na Vibe' in 2015. Other tracks like 'Todo Mundo Quer Dançar' and 'Nós É Loko Pt1' kept their profile up in Brazilian music. Their approach drew some criticism from more traditional religious circles, but they kept going with it.
By the late 2010s they had released 'O Som da Rua' and a compilation marking their first decade. The group's blend of genres and straightforward delivery found an audience that appreciated something different from the usual gospel or pop fare.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
